I am human optimization. And optimized to be what though? To just be happy ... At the end of the day, that's why you're playing the game. You got to figure out yourself to understand what truly makes you happy. Because your goal is to not be happy in pockets; your goal is to be happy every single hour of every single day of your life.

I've mastered time, energy, and capacity. So, I live this extraordinarily balanced life by design where I only dedicate 30% of my time to podcasts and shooting television and building my businesses. I spend 30% sleeping, 10% on my health, never compromising, and 30% with my family.

Why would I ever not just be extraordinarily healthy for the rest of my life? ...I have not missed a day of getting up at 5 AM. I have not missed a day in the gym. I have not missed one day meditating. I have not missed one day eating supplements, eating clean. I have not had a drink. I haven't had any sugar. I haven't had a snack, any of that, since I hit that like nine months ago.

Your entire life, as you grow and evolve, you expand. And what you want to do is be expanding in one direction because that's where exponential growth and greatness and mastery and all these things lie—when you grow into a single direction.

You want to live this peaceful, happy effortless, fulfilling life. That's really what you're chasing. You want a life of infinite abundance and love. And the only way you can actually get to that is through learning mastery of self. And that is mastery of your energy and all the things that give and take from it, your time, and ultimately, your capacity.

I can tell you from someone that's built 17 companies in the last five years that the greatest lesson I had in years two and three was founder-market fit ... The biggest red flag you will ever hear is when somebody comes from one industry and wants to be in another because this one so much easier.

Time's alive ... Basically, your whole life leads to this present moment in time. And then the energy that you feel at this present moment in time is ultimately the quality of your reality that you're in.

You can live in two places that will get you nowhere: It's dwelling and being negative or it's being hopeful and wishing. Either will get you nowhere.

Diet alone, in avoiding all of these processed foods and alcohol, and being committed to that will absolutely change your life because it gives your mind more depth to be able to execute at a... higher level in the limited amount of time that you have to execute.

You can't advise somebody into running a company ... You have to fight the fire, learn the battles, to ever learn how to operate a company.

Now I'm shooting 336 episodes a year up from 252. That's still at 4% of my time, essentially 5 hours a day, 4 times a month, for 10 months.

Not eating sugar, and intermittent fasting, and eating a lean protein and vegetable meal to me is everything.

Feeling joy over long periods of time is what creates the feeling of happiness.

As someone who sold their production company for $200 million and who had an offer on the table that fell apart for $400 million recently, it is the worst business that you could ever get in and your life.

I put $250 to 500K into every venture. I try to own between 25-70% of every single venture that I have at maturity. I have built 17 companies, sold 6, and netted $450 million since I launched the company in 2016.
